Indonesian Veterinary Medical Association Seminar

The Indonesian Veterinary Medical Association (PDHI) as an organization for the veterinary profession in Indonesia has an important role in improving the quality of veterinarians for the benefit of mankind, the public, and the reputation of this country and nation through the veterinary world. In accordance with it, there is high hope from people of the veterinary profession for PDHI to achieve all of that. Of course, along the way PDHI will face many challenges and it will be our duty as members of the organization to think up and offer the best solution.

In relations with the new organizational structure of PDHI for period 2006-2010 under the leadership of Wiwiek Bagja, DVM, CIVAS had initiated a seminar titled : PDHI in the Future : “Hopes and Challenges”.

The seminar was held on July 29, 2006, at the seminar room of the Alumni Building of Bogor Agricultural University (Gedung Alumni IPB), Baranangsiang, Bogor.
The seminar was aimed to provide recommendations for PDHI so it could achieve better work performances, capture aspirations of members, and give an overview about the new work program to the public.

Speakers of the seminar were Wiwiek Bagja, DVM and Olan Sebastian, DVM. Acting as moderator was Tri Satya Putri Naipospos, DVM, MPhil, PhD. Participants were veterinarians from government offices, associations, Non-Government Organizations, practitioners, university professors, students and the general public.
